This is an antique decorative serving tray. An English, mahogany and boxwood afternoon tea tray, dating to the Regency period, circa 1830.

Superb late Georgian craftsmanship, with wonderful colour and finish
Displays a desirable aged patina and in very good order throughout
Select stocks present fine grain interest and rich russet hues
Large inlaid boxwood scallop shell motif set within an oval medallion
Distinctive sash tray lip dressed with rolled brass carry handles to either end
Finished with a fascinating dappled leather protective pad to the base

This is a delightful antique decorative serving tray, ideally suited to the finest of gatherings or club lounges. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready to serve.
