This is an antique Oriental fruit plate. A Japanese, handpainted ceramic charger or dish, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

Appealing Japanese iconography with bright palette
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
Crisp white ground bordered with a deep black rim accentuated with foliate motif
Hand-painted storks graze beneath a tree in blossom, with a Pagoda in the background
Replete with character mark to reverse
