Description

Antique Cheval Mirror English Dressing Mirror Light Mahogany Victorian c.1860

This is a good quality cheval mirror mounted in a bleached mahogany frame, swung on a satinwood stand.

The stand features original ceramic castors and scroll toed feet supporting a serpentine stretcher in satinwood that is complemented by the serpentine supports that hold the mirror with the original brass fittings.

The dome topped mirror frame, in a bleached mahogany, has a curved profile shaping beautifully into the mirror which is secured by a well panelled back.

The original mirror plate is a fine example only showing slight signs of foxing that are barely noticeable and it is a generous size compared to most.

Superb quality and a stunning piece presented in excellent antique condition. Solid joints and construction. Delivered waxed & polished.
