This an antique, turn of the century biscuit barrel made by the renowned Sheffield silversmith Roberts and Belk The English makers mark stamped clearly on the base.

Standing on three elegant swept feet impressed with classical motifs, the dished stand is edged with ridged detail providing a solid and stable platform for the salmon pink marble barrel.

The upper rim is decorated with floral repoussé in contrast to the chased, hinged, snug fitting lid topped with a turned finial for a handle.
