Description

Quality 19th century antique mahogany inlaid eight day longcase clock by Ganz of Swansea having a quality mahogany case with a wavy pediment and arched glazed door flanked by reeded pilasters. It boasts a pretty painted arched dial depicting a young man and horse to the arch and sheep painted spandrels. The chapter ring has a Roman numeral subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, eight day movement striking on the hour and half hour on a bell, inlaid mahogany door to the centre of the case, inlaid mahogany base and raised on shaped bracket feet. Original weights, pendulum and keys.
