Description

Antique George III mahogany eight day painted face grandfather clock having a swan neck pediment with a glazed arch door and flanked by two attractive turned column supports. The original painted dial depicts a table scene with subjects in period dress and ladies in period costume to each corner, original hands, eight day striking movement on original bell. It boasts a splendid figured walnut case with a short door in the centre of the trunk flanked by turned columns. It stands on a figured mahogany base with splayed feet and united by a shaped apron.

A wonderful example of exceptional colour in its original condition.
