Description

A fine quality late 19th-century Regency style mahogany sofa of elegant classical form beautifully executed with exceptional carved detailing throughout. The shaped top rail is adorned with carved wheat sheaves and ribbon-tied sprays, a decorative motif inspired by the finest early 19th-century designs.

The scrolled arms flow into a reeded mahogany frame continuing down to boldly reeded sabre legs terminating in brass paw feet and castors. Generous proportions and refined craftsmanship give this piece real presence while the pale damask upholstery complements the warmth of the timber and the period aesthetic.

A highly decorative and comfortable sofa in the Regency manner.
