Antique Victorian quality brass skimmer having a shaped handle attached to a round brass skinner with spider web decoration.A lovely decorative piece. Antique brass skimmers were primarily used for skimming the surface of liquids, especially in cooking and food preparation. They were designed to remove impurities, foam, or excess fat from broths, soups, and other cooking liquids, and were also used to retrieve items like meat or herbs from stews. Additionally, they were employed in dairies to skim cream from milk.

If your clock has a genuine defect that satisfies the conditions of the warranty and is within the warranty period we will, at our discretion and without cost to you, complete the necessary replacement of parts and/or rectify a fault or action any repair as identified by a fully trained horologist. In the unlikely event that a repair is not successful a full refund will be offered.
