Extremely large exhibition quality antique Victorian carved mahogany and marquetry tubular chiming longcase clock having an impressive carved mahogany and marquetry inlaid case with fantastic carved pierced fretwork to the glass door, 14 -inch gilded brass dial fully engraved with applied rings for chime selection of Westminster or Whittington and a chime/ silent option. The movement has a deadbeat escapement to a brass pendulum and nine brass tubes and three brass weights.

The quality of the design and craftsmanship of this astounding showcase piece is breathtaking. It would have been a commissioned piece of importance and would have most certainly been exhibited in the Great Exhibition of 1851. It is in good working order the condition is wonderful.
