Rare and unusual Antique Victorian quality olive wood circular drum table having a fabulous quality olive wood and inlaid circular top with four working drawers and four dummy drawers with original ornate brass handles supported on a turned shaped column and raised on three shaped sabre legs with bun feet.

Olive wood is typically only used in luxury furniture and is rarely seen due to the importance of the olive tree which has a lifespan of up to 600 years. Olive trees represent strength, longevity, wisdom, luck, and prosperity. Throughout ancient history, olive branches were offered in religious ceremonies as symbols of purity and benediction. Olive trees are also famous emblems of peace and harmony, this piece is special due to the use of this superior olive wood creating a unique appearance of rich colours and fine grain.
