Description

A fine example of a spindle back armchair with side 'wings'. These chairs were predominantly made in North Cheshire and South Lancashire using Elm and Ash, with a rush seat. This example, circa 1800, has lovely shaped arms and sits on pad/bun feet. The side wings make it particularly desirable.

The chair is 46" (117 cm) high and 26.5" (67 cm) wide. The depth is 22" (56 cm).
