Description

A very pretty Geo.III period Mahogany sideboard profusely decorated with inlay. The serpentine top has refined string inlay on the front and sides, while the front of the sideboard is inlaid with the half shell motifs so popular during the Georgian period.

The sideboard stands on 6 legs with spade feet. It has a central drawer with deep drawers to each side. The handles, like most pieces of this age, are not original and the sideboard shows the signs of use, consistent with its age. The colour is rich and, what one would hope for in a period piece of furniture. It has served many generations and will serve many more.
