This is an extremely rare child's size settle, made mainly of Elm, and dating from circa 1780. It is a hugely desirable chair for lovers and collectors of country furniture and appears to be totally original. In order to give some perspective of its size, we have photographed it next to a classic Regency period dining chair. The measurements are:
