Description

A pottery tobacco jar with a tin lid. The body is decorated with a cartouche inscribed "CUT CAVENDISH" and the base has the impressed marks "H.F & SONS LONDON".

The jar would have been in a specialty shop and, as you can see from the photographs, has been well used. The jar is 9" high x 6" diameter.
