18th Century French Mahogany Commode with Marble Top.Of nice colour and good size, this commode has a fine mottled white and grey veined marble top and has two drawers. There are excellent cast and chased ormolu paterae mounts on the tops of the tapering square sectioned legs. The lower apron has fluted detailing and the sides of the piece are panelled.
This is a commode is in the Louis XVI neoclassical taste and is very elegant and attractive.
