An Early 19th Century Italian Parcel Gilt Pier Mirror of Large Size and Fine Proportions.

This fine mirror is decorated throughout in its original white/cream and gilt colour scheme. Originally intended to be a pier mirror, this piece would have stood between the large pier windows in an important home above the matching table which we also own and which is for sale separately.

The frieze has applied carvings of floral subjects and paterae and the uprights have applied carving of more flowers coming out of a pair of classical urns. The mirror is of architectural form but has carved detail, which is executed in wood. Take a look at the matching table available separately. #3609.
