Description
A Useful Pair of 18th Century Italian Walnut Veneered Small Chests of Drawers or Bedside Tables/Cabinets.These attractive and versatile pieces are of rectangular form but with sophisticated cabriole legs and serpentine aprons which show a marked rococo influence. Each chest has three small drawers, with cast brass escutcheons and handles. The chests are veneered throughout with curly walnut which has attained a beautiful colour and patination and the tops, sides and the drawer fronts are crossbanded with straighter grained walnut as a contrasting border.
