Description

An interesting English copper and oak commemorative plaque depicting "No 1 Engine" which pulled the inaugural train on the opening day of the Stockton and Darlington Railway (S&DR) in 1825, Bulmer's Stone is a relic of the Ice Age upon which a town crier called Willy Bulmer would stand and read out the contents of the newspapers. Registration number: 541742 which dates this as 1909.
