Description
A Victorian fusee dial wall clock. A 12" painted dial signed 'BELL BROs. DONCASTER' with blued steel hands. A concave and convex surround to the mahogany case with a brass bezel. An 8-day duration fusee timepiece mechanism. Circa 1870.Bell Brothers of Darlington are listed in Loomes 'Watchmakers and Clockmakers of The World' book as working in 1871. They are still in existence today as opticians.
