Description

A fine quality English Georgian twin fusee bracket clock of elegant proportions. A mahogany case with brass inlays and side handles. Sound fretted side panels with silk backing. A pineapple finial and standing on bun feet. A cast brass bezel with convex glass. A glass back door. A convex dial with blued steel hands. A quality double fusee mechanism striking the hours on a bell of 8-day duration. Pull cord repeating.

James Murray of Royal Exchange, London is noted in Baillies 'Watch and Clockmakers of The World' book as being 'a maker of great repute' who worked 1810-1840.
