A 1910 Patek Philippe Chronometro Gondolo 18K gold pocket watch. An enamel dial with Roman numerals, flanked by outer 5 minute Arabic numerals in black. A large 18K gold case with guilloche style finish. The case back is engraved with an C and S, highly stylised. The inner mechanism cover is engraved with retailers scripts, surrounded by 'Chronometro Gondolo, no163829 Patek Philippe & cie Geneve'. The inner area is engraved 'Fabricado expressamente, para, Gondolo & Labourian, relojoeiros, Rio De Janeiro'. This translates from Portuguese to English as 'Made expressly for, Gondolo & Labourian, watchmakers, Rio De Janeiro'. A fine quality mechanism with a particularly rare feature of solid gold wheels. Serial numbers date this watch to approximately 1910.
