An early 19th century French Empire period mantle clock. A Sienna marble case with lovely grain. Bronze raised panels and corner spandrels around the dial. A finely detailed bronze urn set to the top. A gilt engine turned dial with circles around the Roman numerals. Blued steel \"moon\" hands. An 8-day duration silk suspension mechanism striking the half hours and hours on a bell. Circa. 1815.
