A 1956 18K gold IWC Schaffhausen wristwatch. A slim case design with shaped lugs and snap on case back. A high quality caliber 401 manual wind mechanism by IWC. A silvered dial with gilt baton numerals and outer dotted track for the sweep seconds. Case back inner fully marked by manufacturers and with Swiss gold marks. Serial numbers date the watch to 1956. This watch comes complete with its original IWC leather bound box. Another form of provenance with this watch is an insurance valuation from 1990.
