Description

Rare electrically rotational world globe made by Philips,England 1962 .It has three separate low wattage bulbs built-in illuminating the Lucite latitudinal markers and the globe itself.Gives a warm effect and the globe rotates at a slow constant speed with no noise present-very smooth. The map papers have suffered a little so there is some scuffing and wear. The colour has also been victim to discolouration over time.
The motor is independently switched as is the lighting feature, all built into a heavy iron base with original black paint finish.
Has been completely rewired and serviced. Comes with 3m of flex and is PAT tested.
We welcome visits to our 3000 sq ft warehouse in Norwich (postcode NR18 9PX), but please ask first as this is by appointment only. If travelling by train , we can meet you at Norwich Station or more locally, Wymondham Station.
