An early 18th.Century solid oak mule chest or coffer. The 4 panelled top opens to reveal a large storage area and side candle box with original lock and hinges. The front having 3 fielded panels above 2 drawers which have replaced antique handles with working locks & keys. The stiles have moulded detail and the legs are joined by a shaped frieze.
