Description

A good quality and original 19th.C. golden oak carved Admiral Fitzroy barometer in working order. The moulded pediment centred with a castellated finial. Below is a carved frieze and stiles leading to the applied Ionic topped fluted columns which house the double vernier markers for yesterday and today to the mercury action tube. The barometer retains the original charts and registration number with thermometer to the side and the case has a glass front. Condition- Case- excellent. Internal- slight ageing to the paper visible in pictures. Dimensions:- Height…47.25’’/ 120cm. Width…11.5’’/ 29cm. Depth…4.75’’/ 12cm. Delivery by furniture carrier to most of U.K. mainland £35.
