An impressive 3 seater 19th century oak and cane Carolean style high-back settee of generous proportions. The very well carved back decorated with centre crown dated 1676 and flanked by opposing eagles. The cane panels having an heraldic shield with caved steel helmets and all surrounded by scrolling leaves & flowers with sugar barley twist supports. The acanthus carved open arms joining the caned seat and the whole raised on 8 barley twist legs with conforming stretchers and crown carved friezes.
