Description

An early 18th Century walnut chest on stand from the reign of Queen Anne or George I. The top section having an ogee cross grain moulded cornice. Below are 2 short and 3 long graduated drawers with feather banded edges and retaining all the original chased brass handles and escutcheons. The stand with conforming drawer and shaped apron and the whole standing on old replaced Queen Anne style cabriole legs with pointed toes. This wonderful chest on stand has oak lined dovetailed drawers and is pine sided and has a superb mellow patina.
