Description

An interesting pair of painted life size carved solid wood statues. The female figure in early full length dress with sash and holding a sheaf of wheat in her right hand. The bearded male figure, fully robed with head covering (slight damage to fingers). Both figures standing on square bases and appear to have been used as garden statues due to loss and wear of paint. Possibly Italian or Mediterranean. More photos available.
