Description

William Daniell was an engraver and painter who belonged to a family of English artists and was the nephew of Thomas Daniell (engraver and painter).
In 1813, Daniell travelled around the coastline of Britain, producing illustrations during his vogage. The whole journey and completion of the illustrations took 11 years.
The engravings we have on offer are from the Lands End to John O’Groats leg of his journey and feature in Volume I and Volume II of A Voyage Round Great Britain.
We have 14 aquatint scenes from North Wales and 8 aquatint scenes of South Wales. All can be viewed on our website
