Constructed in solid oak, the table features a well-worn plank top with a rich, warm patina developed through years of use. The single drawer set into the frieze retains its original iron pull and provides useful everyday storage.

The table stands on chamfered square legs, united by a strong H-form stretcher, giving both visual balance and excellent stability. The underside shows a useful slot for extension leaves, making it practical as well as decorative.

Unpretentious and robust, this is a classic piece of French provincial furniture, ideal as a farmhouse kitchen table, work table, or centre table in a country interior.
