Hutton-Clarke Antiques is pleased to offer this fine pair of French Empire bronze candelabra, circa early 19th century. Elegantly cast with three candle holders each, they display intricate detailing in the form of classical motifs, naturalistic foliage, and decorative finials. The stems rise from sturdy tripodal bases, modelled as stylised animal paw feet with acanthus embellishment, giving them both grandeur and stability. Retaining traces of original gilding in the candle sockets and highlights, these candelabra exemplify the refined craftsmanship and neoclassical taste of the Empire period.
