Description

A rare, circa 1900, silver plated ice bucket by prominent American silversmith Reed and Barton, Taunton, Massachusetts.
The ice bucket is in the form of a coopered pale, with a fox laying with its prey as decoration to the handle.
It is in uncleaned condition, some marks as would be expected, and some bubbling to the silver plate, which can be seen in the photos. but no major condition issues, with no dents or deep marks.
The ice bucket measures approx 6 inches (15cm) high, not including the handle. Total height with the handle upright is approx 11 inches (28cm), the diameter at the top is approx 6 inches (15 cm). The ice bucket also has a good weight to it, weighing approx 870g.
