Description

A large Victorian, shipwrights / carpenters tool trunk.
The trunk is in good condition, with rope handles, good hinges, closes well.
It is a good size, measuring approximately 94 cm (37 inches) long by 47.5 cm (18.75 inches) high by 48 cm (19 inches) deep.
It has a brass locking strap for keeping the lid open, fitted lock bud no key.
The trunk has a fitted interior with 7 trays of varying size, all in good order with hand cut dovetail joints, sitting above a 2 compartment storage area.
The ebonised exterior shows wear and tear as would be expected.
A lovely piece, perfect for home storage or use as a coffee table.
