Rare Late 18th Century English Antique Glass Seal Bottle of Mallet Form "William Gaffill 1796"
A rare find nowadays and sourced from a private collection in Lincolnshire, England.
A late 18th Century English antique blue-green mallet bottle with raised pontil / kick-up base.
Technically this is a transitional bottle seen between mallet and cylinder.
Bearing a seal "Wiliam Gaffill 1796". Believed to originate from the South-West of England, possibly around the Devon area.
Condition - Okay. There is a crack in the the glass which is stable. Cork stopper is later.
