19thC East Anglian Antique Ball Back Chair, C.1840

Description

A typical East Anglian "ball back" type chair, Circa 1840, however of better quality than usual given it is constructed from mahogany with ebony inlay to the back.
Possibly made by Henry Soame, a chair maker listed as working in Fakenham, Norfolk, Circa 1840.
Condition - Good colour. Some surface marks commensurate with age. Minor historic repair to the seatboard and front right leg at the top where it meets the supporting front apron of the seat however these are not noticeable.
All in all a good sturdy chair that is ready to go.
