Holt Antique Furniture

Description

A fine late 15th Century and later antique oak child's chest / coffer.
The front and side carcass including panels originating from the latter years of the 15th Century and are typical of the period depicing fruiting vines, serpents heads and one also featuring a flower vase.
Condition
The panelled top is an 18th Century replacement and has two later timber repairs
Rear panels, rear stiles,base boards and iron hinges all replaced historically
Minor timber fillets inserted to front and rear of lock plate.
