Description

As untouched as we could find and obtained locally within North Norfolk.
A charming early 17th Century antique oak wainscot chair with typical late Elizabethan geometric back panel, sweeping arms, turned front supports plank seat above scratch moulded and shaped apron. The back panel bears inlaid veneer with initials WAD and date of 1625.
One of the arms also bears graffiti with some scratched initals!
Condition - untouched "barn found" condition. Loose joints repairs to front legs historically replaced seat board. There are splits to back panel which is supported by two modern timber battens verso.
This is priced realistically to sell.
