An attractive an rare clock of very high quality. They are given various names but the most often applied tag is the 'library' clock. The clock might therefore have been hung in a Gentleman's private library. It is a timepiece only (ie non-striking) so as not to disturb the reader.
A rare form and even rarer with just an 8" dial. All original components and fully restored read to enjoy.

Dimensions & Specification

Really well made case of primarily mahogany construction. The dial surround has been veneered in either burr walnut or burr chesnut. Well made 8-day fusee movement with gut line. Original blued-steel trefoil pattern hands. Original cast brass bezel with integral sight-ring with bevelled glass.
Dail is 8". Overall dimensions of the clock are 55m tall 27.5cm wide 14cm deep

Condition Report

Fully restored and ready for sale. The dial has been repainted following exactly the original pattern. Small areas of damage to the carved 'bracket' have been replaced professionally. Movement professionally overhauled.
