19th Century Study of a Soldier by Griset

Photos

Description

A superb military watercolour painting by the distinguished French artist and illustrator Henri Griset, a member of the renowned Griset family and brother of the acclaimed artist, Ernest Griset. This beautiful watercolour painting is well executed and in lovely condition, the artistry of Griset is evident in the quality of the work and use of striking but subtle colour. This painting was purchased from descendants of the artists.
Reframed in a modern silvered frame with the painting deep mounted within another slim, silver slip, which compliments the picture perfectly.
