This magnificent George III mahogany bureau would have been made in the North Country in one of the best workshops, to furnish one of the large country houses belonging to the wealthy industrialists/businessmen of the period.
The bureau has 5 drawers below the superb fitted and inlaid interior. The interior with many secret compartments, and splendid inlays.
