Victorian rosewood Sutherland table
This Victorian rosewood Sutherland table was made circa 1870.
Rosewood is a wonderful timber and the cabinetmaker used this to make this Sutherland table an eyecatcher.
It is oval shaped once the leaves are up and supported by the turned rosewood leg supports.
Having double turned end columns and a pole stretcher support to join them.
Sutherland tables make great second dining tables and so convenient as they can fold down and stand at a wall. You can also use these with just one flap up.
They can also be used as a main dining table in a flat or apartment where space is a premium.
