Antique oak pot board dresser
This Antique oak pot board dresser has the original plate rack with a boarded back, was made circa 1830.
The top plate rack does lift off for ease of transportation to and around your home.
The base consists of 3 drawers that are above the triple arcaded apron that join the well-turned front legs and the planked pot board under.
An Antique dresser is such a wonderful piece of social history. A dresser was the original kitchen unit, well before the modern concept of fitted units.
Quite often they would be in the living room displaying their finest pieces of pottery, pewter, and other metalware.
Having a pot board also helps give you an interesting display option.
