This Victorian mahogany military chest was made circa 1885.
Having high quality brass corners and straps to provide protection hauling a British officers items on the arduous journeys and battlefields of the British Empire.
The lid opens to reveal a full storage space in the interior.
It stands on turned legs.
These make wonderful conversation pieces as well as a centre piece to a drawing room as a coffee table.
