This Edwardian camel back leather sofa was made circa 1910.

Camel back sofas have the advantage of being very comfortable as well as being stunning visually.
Our magnificent example stands on carved cabriole legs ending on claw and ball feet. The 3 front legs are carved with shells to the knee and eagle heads to either side, the rear legs with the ball and claw.
It has the stunning rolled arms with the carved mahogany show-wood running up at the front with lovely floriate carving ending at a roundel.

We have totally re-upholstered this Edwardian camel back leather sofa, taking it back to its frame and then upholstering it in the traditional manner. Our female leather specialist uses fine russet English leather hide, the hundreds of brass headed studs are tapped in individually taking much patience and skill . After she has re-upholstered the frame, she dyes it by hand before building the antique finish slowly until it is to the wonderful colour and antique feel that our leather goods are known for.
