Description

Georgian style mahogany twin pillar dining table
This Georgian style mahogany twin pillar dining table was made circa 1910.
The cabinetmaker would have selected redundant Georgian timber to use on this table. It was common practice that these craftsmen who had an eye for the quality of timber with good colour and grain, would search for timber to suit this job.
At the turn of the 20th century there were many old tables that were not in use or fashionable that they could salvage the wonderful old timber to make these dining tables.
The cabinetmaker made the pair of fine tripod bases in the Georgian design with the 3 cabriole legs coming off the turned central column that end on pad feet.
This table has an extra leaf to allow you to extend the table to seat more guests.
This gives you good flexibility when you have a dinner party or family occasion.
Imagine entertaining around this dining table with your family and friends, it will give an extra special feel to the evening.
The solid mahogany top has a reeded edge.
