Description

Victorian leather chaise lounge
This Victorian leather chaise lounge was made and retailed by Messrs Hamptons of Pall Mall, circa 1880
The chaise has 4 solid walnut turned legs with their original brass and china wheels.
This is of the usual shape with the long bed ending with the sweeping back, this does have a more pronounced roll end and why it is so comfortable.
We have covered and re-upholstered this in fine deep buttoned leather hide by our own specialist craftsmen.
After upholstering with fine raw leather, it is hand dyed, before the antique ageing process is administered. The brass headed studs are individually tapped in which is not only time consuming but very skilled.
This is a very skilled job, and the craftsman has over 40 years’ experience in learning this specialist skill.
This is a very comfortable chaise lounge, and I suspect you will really enjoy relaxing and letting the modern-day stresses of life just fade away as you lay back and enjoy a book or have a nap.
