Antique Camphor wood ottoman
This Antique Camphor wood ottoman would have been made circa 1880.
This ottoman is made of solid Camphor wood to the base, and then with a fine deep button leather top.
An attractive feature of this trunk are the exposed dovetails to the corners. They add to the character of this ottoman.
The leather buttoned top is upholstered in our workshops by experienced craftsmen. The fine leather is antiqued in such a way that it looks to be over 100 years old, and will last for generations to come.
The leather is secured by hundreds of brass studs, each one is nailed in individually, a very skilled job as well as needing much patience as the Camphor is a hard timber .
This stands on turned feet.
