Description
Mahogany triple pillar dining table of the Georgian styleThe Kings Worthy Dining Table
This mahogany triple pillar dining table is made of solid mahogany, and would have been made in a top workshop of the day in the 1920’s.
The cabinetmaker who made this elegant dining table, would have taken much time selecting the timber to construct this to the high standard it has been made. He also would have had an excellent eye for design and also the best proportions.
The top is finished with a deep cross banding of satinwood around the edge.
The rounded table tops at each end stands on columns, each with 3 splay legs coming off the gun barrel turned pillar, and finishing with solid brass paw toes with rolling castors below. The centre section has the turned gun barrel pillar and a quadruple legged base with the brass paw toes and castors.
