We are delighted to offer you this Edwardian inlaid rosewood desk by James Shoolbred & co
This desk is profusely inlaid with motifs and line inlays.
The leather inset top, with a superstructure of a pair of stationery boxes with lifting lids and a drawer, joined by a central lidded compartment.
Below the top are 3 drawers, one long (Makers stamp Jas Schoolbred) and 2 box drawers to each side. The right hand drawer fitted for stationery.
The desk stands on its original, fine square tapering legs, ending with square box castors and brass rolling wheels.

James Shoolbred were in Tottenham Court Road, London. In the 1870’s they started designing and producing high quality furniture for sale.
The company ceased trading in 1931.
There are many collectors of Shoolbred furniture, as the company produced items of style and quality.
